Chef and founder

Felipe Bronze

Felipe Bronze holds a degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America. In his twenty-year career as a chef, he has been awarded “Chef of the Year” five times by Veja Rio magazine and three times by O Globo newspaper. Oro was voted the city’s “Best Restaurant” and received its first Michelin star in 2013. In 2017, it earned two Michelin stars, becoming one of only three restaurants in all of Latin America to reach this distinction.

He was also named “One to Watch” by the British magazine The Restaurant and, in 2018, joined the Latin America’s 50 Best list.

Cecilia Aldaz

Born in Mendoza, Argentina, Cecilia Aldaz is considered one of the leading names in the Brazilian wine scene today. Awarded Best Sommelier by several publications, she holds numerous international certifications.

A restless researcher of the wine world, Cecilia is currently an ambassador for the renowned Le Cordon Bleu and a lecturer in the Diplôme Wine & Spirits program.

In Oro’s kitchen, chefs Guilherme Vaz and Antônio Viegas are responsible for executing and carrying forward the restaurant’s gastronomic vision, working in harmony with chef Felipe Bronze to make the Oro experience even more special.

On television

Fifteen years on TV

With fifteen years in television, Felipe is currently the host with the most on-air hours simultaneously. He began with Tá na Época on GNT and hosted the segment O Mago da Cozinha on Fantástico (TV Globo) in 2010.

He is also the host of Que Seja Doce and The Taste Brasil. In 2020, he was on air at the same time with Top Chef Brasil (Record TV), Que Seja Doce and Perto do Fogo (GNT).
